Darren has trained in acting at City Academy, London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA)

Darren has performed on stage and screen. In 2017 he did an eight show run starring in 'The Anniversary' directed by Brian Moran at the Incognito Theatre and earlier that year he did three night run performing in 'A Little Box of Oblivion' by Stephen Bean with the Guild Players.

 

In 2018 he played Sir Danvers Carew in Incognito Theatres production of 'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde' directed by Andrew Robinson. Plus he played the lead, Inspector Ruffing in The Guild Players production of Widdershins by Don Nigro & directed by Louisa Agamemnos. In 2019 he played Jimmy in 'A Murder has been arranged' directed by Jamie Barker and Tom Jones in 'Tom Jones directed by Brian Moran. In 2020 he was due to be taking on several roles in 'Travels with my Aunt' directed by Louisa Agamemnos, but this was unfortunately cancelled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

He has worked a lot on TV, appearing in Holby City, Stan Lee's Lucky Man, The Tunnel and Channel 4 comedy 'Loaded'. His film work includes Star Wars: Rise of Skyalker, Burnt, Tarzan, Genius, The Girl with all the Gifts and DC superhero film Wonder Woman! He recently played George Anteil (inventor of the self playing Piano) in BBC4's Revolutions, narrated by Patrick Stewart which aired in 2019. He a magician in the David Schwimmer Sky One comedy Intelligence which aired early 2020 and he has a small cameo in the new series of Ghosts, due to air later in 2020 on the BBC.

Darren has also trained in improvisational comedy, often appearing in 'Whos line is it anyway' style shows and stand-up comedy.
